I just finished the Zombie survival guide and started going through the new stories and found that the crazy meter was turned up to high and left in the hands of the insane. A cop in New Jersey pushed a lady down at a bus stop and spit on her and a kid on the West Coast shot himself in the testies.

Since it’s Friday, I thought we’d go to the Taronga Zoo in Australia, where a baby elephant died during an intense 9 day labor process for the mother Porntip.

On Tuesday they declared that the baby had died, but on Wednesday, baby “Shuffles” was alive and kicking. The baby calf is learning how to feed itself and learned to stand already.

Taronga Zoo Director Cameron Kerr said, “Despite no vital signs of life for several days, we now have obviously a healthy little calf on the ground. This little calf has been through an incredibly tough time. There is no record anywhere else in the world … of a labor that has gone this long. There is no recording of a calf being absolutely still for several days like this.”

They think that Mr. Shuffles went into a coma and fooled vets to think that it had died. He weighs a massive 256 pounds already. Vets still say that he is “not out of the woods” yet, so they are maintaining a 24 hour watch.

No where does it mention any testing for the T virus or to see if the baby has a fondness for flesh. Is the Zombie elephant the beginning of the end?
